Comedian, writer and actor Jack Knight passed away on Thursday night at the age of 28 in Los Angeles, his family confirms TODAY.
The cause of death has not been disclosed and his family has demanded that they continue in privacy.
Knight is best known for co-creating and starring in the Peacock comedy series ‘Bust Down’. He reported that he recently finished filming for “First Time Female Director,” director Chelsea Peretti’s debut . The project would be his first film.
Knight also played Devon in the hit Netflix animated series “Big Mouth” and was previously a writer on the show for five seasons.
He was also a popular stand-up comedian and toured around the world. He appeared on a 2018 Netflix special as part of the series The Comedy Lineup.
In a statement on Twitter, Comedy Central wrote that Knight was a “hysterical and honest comedian” who will be “missed en masse” by him.
Comedian Tim Dillon also celebrated the late comedian on A Tweeting .
“We’ve been recording Netflix specials together for years. He was an incredibly funny original voice in comedy and a great guy who will be sorely missed,” wrote Dillion.
