How to Add Music to Instagram Story without Stickers 2022 – A few years ago, Instagram added the ability to put music on your story officially it became an instant hit. This option is available in the Stickers tray and allows you to select a snippet of music during the story. However, some songs are not available through this method or maybe you don’t want to use Instagram Stickers at all. As it turns out, there is an easy solution for that. Let’s check.

Usually, Stories are custom made and there’s no time to carefully record and edit them, especially if you’re just making them for fun. If you don’t like the Instagram Music sticker blocking your Story, then you can hide it so it’s not visible.

Start by creating a story in the Instagram app. This can be an image or a video. After you take a picture or select one from the gallery, you will see a preview screen.

On this screen, you can finalize the look and feel of the story. You can add hashtags, edit text, apply filters, and apply stickers. Tap the Stickers button at the top to display the Stickers tray.

Search for music in the search bar and a Music sticker will appear. Tap on it and you will get the option to select a song.

Once you’ve selected a song, you’ll get the option to cut the portion you want in the story. You can choose between dynamic lyrics or static stickers. While the lyrics look cool and sometimes complete the story, you can hide them completely. Select the normal sticker as shown in the image below and tap Done.

Now pinch to reduce the size of the sticker, and drag it up until it exits the screen . You will notice that the music continues to play but the sticker is completely hidden. Happy posting!

The methods listed above are easy and simple but fail if you can’t find the music of your choice on Instagram at all. It happened because Instagram needed to license the songs and if they couldn’t come to an agreement, they couldn’t show the songs on the app. However, we can easily insert songs into our stories using a simple video editor.

We’ve covered video editors for almost every platform including, Android , iPhone , Chromebook , and Desktop . You can choose any video editor you like. For the purposes of this article, I will be using the VN Editor on the iPhone.

Record the story you want to post on Instagram. If you’re using the Instagram app itself, you can save your story to the Photos app by tapping the download button.

Next, you need the music files that we will place for the video. VN Editor can fetch music from iTunes, record clips, use any video you have on your phone, or even get music in the Files app. Once you have the music, we can start putting it on top of the video.

Open the VN Editor app and open a new project . Select a video and tap next. Tap the Add Music button in the timeline.

You can add music in various ways such as Sound effects, recordings, or music files. Tap Music and select More .

Now adjust the music layer to match the video story. You can also trim parts of the song to better fit the video.

Export the project and save it to your camera roll. Your Instagram story is ready. Go to Instagram and select a video from the most recent and post it as your story. Happy posting!
