Attack on Titan is an anime adaptation of the popular manga by Hajime Isayama. The manga was adapted into an anime series produced by Wit Studio and MAPPA.

Synopsis of Attack on Titan

Attack on Titan follows the story of Eren Yeager who lives with his adopted brother, Mikasa Ackerman and his best friend Armin Arlert. They live in the Shiganshina District which is next to Wall Maria or the outermost wall of the three circular walls. The trio enlisted into the military after their parents were devoured by a Titan and they set out for revenge.

After 5 years, they successfully graduated and were placed in the Trost District next door to Wall Rose. When the Colossal Titan attacks, Eren is eaten but is able to survive after he is able to transform into a Titan. Eren, who was confused by his transformation, then went to his father’s basement, which allegedly holds the answers to all his questions.

Then thanks to his strength too, Eren is finally considered a figure who has the potential to be a threat. The military tribunal also placed him into the Investigation Force under the supervision of Captain Levi.

Well received by various circles

Both the manga and anime versions, Attack on Titan were well received by fans and critics alike. This is evidenced by the many awards won by the manga, one of which is the Kodansha Manga Award. While the anime itself is very popular around the world and is recognized for its storyline, animation, music and voiceovers.

Live action game and movie versions were made

Apart from being available in the form of manga and anime, Attack on Titan also has a game version developed by Nitroplus, in collaboration with Production IG. Then Attack on Titan also made a live action film version which was worked on by Shinji Higuchi and was first released in 2015.
